Accessibility in Brightspace

Accessibility is about more than checking a box. Providing accessible materials gives every student the autonomy to choose a format that fits how they learn and where they’re learning it. This session moves beyond “add alt text” to show additional features of the Brightspace Accessibility Checker that let students convert your content into audio, ePub, translated text, and tagged PDF, with no extra work for you once any accessibility issues are addressed. We’ll look at the student-facing format conversion options, discuss how to read and triage your accessibility score, and you’ll leave with a short list of high-impact fixes.
