Over the course of the semester, there may be numerous occasions when you might want to communicate with individual students, a particular student group, or the whole class. Although emailing students from Outlook is an option, it isn’t always easy to locate and type their names/email addresses, especially when you have a large class or want to send a communication to all or a group within the class. Fortunately, Blackboard offers a few ways to communicate with students, whether through announcements, discussion boards, or direct emails to a single student, a select group or the whole class. The below video shows how to access these options of communication on Blackboard.
This is part of a series of posts collected by the TLTC and Faculty Center to share ideas and tools that have been helpful in the shift is teaching during the Spring 2020 semester. If you are interested in sharing either a tool that you have found very useful or a method that you are now using in your courses, we would love to hear from you. Send your video or brief description to Chilton Reynolds and we will post it as a part of this series.
