Our reading for April 21-27, 2022 explores some metacognitive techniques to share with students to help them realize when they might need to change their learning strategies to succeed in class.
Unequal Competence: The Gap Between Passing and Learning – This article from the Learn Well Project provides 2 conditions that need to be met for a student to succeed in a class. By sharing these conditions with students, it empowers them to become more involved in their own learning. I found that the ideas here were easy to share and could be very helpful in engaging students more in their own learning.
