Navigate360 Introductory Training
Navigate360 is SUNY Oneonta’s Early Alert software. Information collected in this program is allowing us to work with students who are struggling in their courses earlier than ever before. Instead of waiting for students to do poorly in a class, our Retention Specialist, when notified through Navigate360 by faculty and staff reports, proactively reaches out to counsel students. In the fall semester, we interacted with over 550 students to encourage engagement and attendance, and to provide academic support services and resource referrals.
Faculty and Staff are invited to introductory trainings for Navigate360, our Early Alert System. You’ll learn:
- How to set up your availability (including office hours)
- How to use the attendance tool for classes
- How to send an Academic Alert/Referral
- How to issue Early Alerts
Trainings are available in Milne 215 on the following dates (choose only one):
- January 21, 2026, 2:30-3:30 p.m.
- January 22, 2026, 11-12 a.m.
- January 22, 2026, 1-2 p.m.
If you want in-person training and these dates and times don’t work for you, please contact Amy Crouse-Powers to set up a training time for yourself or your department. Alternatively, you can access the online training modules (that cover all the same material) in Brightspace. (Instructions here.)
If you’ve already taken the introductory training and want to know more about how you can use the Navigate to assist students, contact Amy with your questions!
