The Offices of Equity and Inclusion and Sustainability and the Faculty Center are organizing a group of faculty and staff to read Amitav Ghosh’s The Nutmeg’s Curse in Fall 2025. A powerful work of history, essay, testimony, and polemic, The Nutmeg’s Curse traces our contemporary planetary crisis back to the discovery of the New World and the sea route to the Indian Ocean.
